Core Season Registration

 

This registration page is solely for our age-grade rugby teams that start their season in November.

No experience is necessary to join a team. 

Please read the information below fully before registering for this upcoming season!

Teams

This season, AYR will have teams at all age levels, from U8-U19.

 

Below, you will be able to find the season length, the practice schedule, and cost of the season for each age group. All teams are coached by parents and 2018 D1A National Champion student-athlete Life U coaches.

 

While all seasons start Mid-November, there will be free warm-up skill clinics offered on Sundays throughout September and October.


 

Before you register through the Blue Sombrero site, please have your child complete their concussion baseline test here with the customer code “fu6bcjv3jw”.

It only takes about 15 minutes, and helps ensure your child’s safety should they have any type of head injury during the season.

U8 Coed touch

  • DOB 9/2/2010 – 9/1/2013
  • Cost: $195
  • Season: Mid-November – Early March
  • Practices: Saturdays, 9:00 – 10:30AM @ O4W Skatepark Field
  • Games:  Saturdays February through Early March, usually mornings, about half ITP

 

U10 Coed touch

  • DOB 9/2/2008 – 9/1/2010
  • Cost: $195
  • Season: Mid-November – Early March
  • Practices: Saturdays, 9:00 – 10:30AM @ O4W Skatepark Field
  • Games:  Saturdays February through Early March, usually mornings, about half ITP

 

U12 Coed introductory tackle

  • DOB 9/2/2006 – 9/1/2008
  • Cost: $295
  • Season: Mid-November – Third Week of March
  • Practices:Saturdays, 9:00 – 10:30AM @ O4W Skatepark Field
  • Practices:  TBD by Sept 30th: Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays 6:30 – 8:00PM@ Coan Park or Warren BGC
  • We are also trying for Grady High School field for U12+, stay tuned
  • Games:  Saturdays February through Mid March, usually mornings to early afternoon, about half ITP

 

U14 Boys/Girls tackle

  • DOB 9/2/2004 – 9/1/2006
  • Cost: $295
  • Season: Mid-November – Third Week of March
  • Practices: Saturdays, 9:00-10:30AM @ Warren Boys & Girls Club Field
  • Practices:  TBD by Sept 30th: Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays 7:00 – 8:30PM@ Coan Park or Warren BGC
  • We are also trying for Grady High School field for U12+, stay tuned
  • Games:  Saturdays February through 3rd week of March, about half ITP

 

U16 Boys/Girls 15s tackle

  • Cost: $295
  • Season: Mid-November – Mid-April
  • Practices: Saturdays, 10:00-11:30AM @ Warren Boys & Girls Club Field
  • Practices:  TBD by Sept 30th: Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays 7:300 – 9:00PM@ Coan Park or Warren BGC

U19 Boys/Girls 7s/15s tackle

  • DOB 9/2/1999 – 9/1/2002
  • Cost: $295
  • Season: Mid-November – Mid-April
  • Practices: Saturdays, 10:00-11:30AM @ Warren Boys & Girls Club Field
  • Practices:  TBD by Sept 30th: Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays 7:300 – 9:00PM@ Coan Park or Warren BGC

Registration fees include 4+ months of rugby training; annual membership and insurance from USA Rugby; ImPACT baseline concussion test; player ticket to the end-of-season banquet; rugby ball; training jersey; and t-shirt.

Additionally, these fees help the team cover field rentals, coaching stipends, referee hires, trainers, and administrative costs.

Gear

Outside of the t-shirt and jersey covered by the registration fee, players will need rugby shorts and socks for games. AYR players will wear the same shorts and socks every year. Socks can be purchased for $5.00 from team coaches.

Early registration helps us get organized! If you register before September 15th, you will receive $45.00 off of the season cost.
