Founded in 2012, Atlanta Youth Rugby (AYR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to building character and athleticism while fostering sportsmanship and community in a fun, safe and inclusive atmosphere.
Rugby, the newest Olympic sport, is also one of the fastest growing scholarship sports in America. All body types can have a role, and rugby develops conditioning and unselfish teamwork like no other game. Atlanta’s rapidly expanding community includes active adult amateur leagues, the premiere regional rugby program at Life University, and our new professional team, the Atlanta Rhinos.
Atlanta Youth Rugby, in association with USA Rugby, is a key foundation and pipeline for our city and region. USA Rugby is the national governing body for the sport of rugby in America, and a Full Sport Member of the United States Olympic Committee and the International Rugby Board. Your support will pay excellent dividends as we grow the sport over the next several years.
In just its fourth year, AYR already represents many different areas of Atlanta, resulting in widespread exposure for your brand. Current neighborhood representation is as follows:
Approximately 200 families and family members are in the AYR community, which is growing every year. Including our core supporters, such as Life U, Atlanta adult recreational rugby teams and OTP leagues, we reach approximately 2,500 people. Additionally, our affiliation with the Boys & Girls Club offers tremendous opportunities both to increase player numbers and also, through their different Atlanta locations, a vehicle to expand the game of rugby to Atlanta’s youth. The development of this relationship is a key objective for AYR in 2016-2018.

AYR website and Social Media presence. AYR’s website (www.atlantayouthrugby.com) is our main recruitment tool and communications hub. It is continuously updated and upgraded as the club grows along with visitors to the site. We also have an active social media campaign including paid search on Google, a Facebook page, YouTube channel, and a Twitter account to drive more traffic to the site and to our club.
E-newsletters. AYR sends a series of notifications throughout the year – mostly during the fall and winter seasons, and several times in the offseason for our roughly bi-monthly ‘Play Days’ that invite both AYR families and newcomers to try out the game.
AYR Banquet. We have an annual banquet, where sponsors’ logos are displayed on the program and onsite, and sponsors in attendance are recognized.
AYR has two basic sponsorship packages for the 2016-2017 year (begins/ends August 1st) with specifics below. They are the ‘Sevens’ package and the ‘Union’ package. We are very open to additional ideas to promote your business!
